Yankees 10, Rangers 1

BAMBINO: I didn't watch anything prior to the 7th inning because I watching the Ranger game, but from what I saw in the post game highlights, Hughes pitched great. I just hope his injury isn't severe. I know the no-hitter would have been a great way to get your first major league win, but if he pitches like that on a regular basis, then the Yankees have struck gold. The Yanks have been able to hit, it's the pitching and defense that stunk in April. The defense has tightened of late and the pitching shows signs of promise. No worries yet but the Yankees really need to have a good May and June to show that they are still the cream of the crop in the AL. They have the talent and they have the leader in Joe Torre. It just needs to come together. Tonight Pettitte takes the hill against Tejada. Yanks need to smack this guy around.
